Mad Max: Fury Road - In Cinemas 14th May

In George Miller’s first film of the franchise in three decades, Max Max: Fury Road is the fourth of the Australian-American post-apocalyptic action films. The title character Max Rockatansky which famously launched Mel Gibson’s rise through Hollywood now stars Tom Hardy in the lead role. Sometimes referred to as The Road Warrior and The Man with No Name, Max remains the focus of Fury Road.

FURY ROAD

The film is set several years after a sequence of disastrous worldwide events in the furthest reaches of the planet. Max, a former highway patrolman known as a tough survivalist with a painful past, meets Furiosa played by Charlize Theron. Together with her former female captives, Furiosa runs from the ruthless Immortan Joe and his callous crew who consider them precious objects in the aim for continued survival of the human race. They find themselves reliant on Max and his wide-ranging familiarity of the desert’s risks.

Max and Furiosa are both rebels keen to take action against the chaos, with Furiosa certain she can create change. She is desperate to reach her childhood homeland across the stark desert as she she’s it as their only chance for survival.
