The turntable is the beginning of the hifi home audio system. Record players are perfect if your home audio system relies on CDs or digital music sources; this will bring your vinyl collection to life. A proper turntable will preserve the audio quality of your records before they are connected to your hifi speaker system. If you are building an audio system from scratch, full music packages are available, featuring a combination of turntables, amplifiers, and hifi speakers. Some turntables have phono preamplifiers built-in, however a separate device may preserve sound quality. For those who already own a turntable, a variety of accessories are available as well.Â
