Tonewinner is back with a Pro version of their popular AD-2500 power amp, more powerful thanks to its optimized circuits and a new bridge function. With the AD-2500PRO, Tonewinner has developed a particularly powerful Class AB stereo power amplifier that will deliver up to 2x950W under 4Ω. This model is able to supply impressive power levels while still maintaining great dynamic range and low noise levels for a sound reproduction that feels limitless, but is still precise and musical.
In order to develop such a power, the AD-2500PRO embeds within a differential circuit no less than 8 pairs of high-performance transistors Onsemi NJW0281G and NJW0302G. These are integrated on independent mono amplifier modules, each dedicated to one channel, thus effectively limiting interference for pure sound reproduction. These modules are also installed on the large side-mounted heat sinks, effectively removing the heat generated by the power components.
As you'd expect from a high-performance power amplifier, the AD-2500PRO provides a single-ended RCA input as well as a balanced XLR input for each channel. Input selection for each channel is made via a switch on the back of the unit.
With an intelligent system to protect against damage to the unit the AD-2500PRO boasts Short Circuit Protection, Overload Protection, Overheating Protection, Over-voltage and Over-current Protection.
The front panel of the AD-2500PRO houses an over-sized mechanical VU meter, backlit in lake blue with a red needle it really gives the amp a special look. Brightness is adjustable via the front panel, all the way to completely off.
