The CS9040 features high-performance BDSS mid/bass drivers, aluminium dome tweeters, and an integrated 8" passive bass radiator. With the CS9040, you’ll hear centre channel audio with a level of full range clarity and impact that’s unlike anything you have ever experienced before.
The centre channel is critical for more than just vocal clarity, it is also the location of much of the sound effects audio in films. Where most competitive centre channel offerings narrowly focus only on reproducing voice dialog, the CS9040 provides full range representation of your centre channel audio. The CS9040 achieves this through the integration of an 8" bass radiator, which works in harmony with the CS9040’s BDSS woofers to effectively double their bass producing surface area. That translates to richer, more impactful sound - front and centre where you expect it. In addition, the presence of a bass radiator in the centre of your soundfield supports more even bass distribution throughout the room.
At the heart of the CS9040’s speaker array are two innovative 4.5” Balanced Double Surround System™ drivers, designed to always place you in the best seat in the house. BDSS improves driver excursion, allowing the CS9040’s mid/bass drivers to play lower and blend with its integrated bass radiator.
Because this technology is utilised across the entire BP9000 Series, when integrated with other BP9000 models, the CS9040 contributes to a more uniform midrange soundstage throughout your listening environment. That means anchored, centrally focused dialog; full range reproduction of scores and sound effects; and a seamless flow of panned audio from loudspeaker to loudspeaker.
The CS9040’s Aluminium Dome Tweeters feature ultralight, rigid construction that enables them to play significantly higher frequencies than we can hear with incredibly fast and accurate transient response. This provides effortless, distortion-free performance within and beyond the audible range - perfect for the enjoyment of high resolution audio.
Strategically-placed bracing creates maximum rigidity with a totally inert, resonance-free cabinet for improved imaging and accuracy.
