The LX-NZ30 is JVC's latest high-performance 4K UHD/HDR home theatre projector. Capable of delivering up to 3,300 lumens of brightness thanks to the BLU-Escent laser light source technology, it ensures a bright, sharp picture even in ambient light.

JVC LX-NZ30B 4K UHD DLP Home Theatre Laser Projector

Enjoy 4K HDR movies, streaming video, and high frame rate gaming right in your living room with the LX-NZ30, featuring BLU-Escent, a laser light source that delivers 3,300-lumen brightness and a long 20,000-hour life, as well as support for high frame rate input at up to 2K 240Hz. The new model, which is full of projection technologies, broadens your usage and enjoyment of large-screen home theatre projection.

The blue laser diode assembly boosts power from the 95 watts used in its predecessor (LX-NZ3) to 105 watts to realize a 10% increase in brightness. The elevated brightness makes the LX-NZ30B suitable for use in rooms with ambient lighting, while increasing dynamic range and peak HDR brightness. In addition, the projector detects the incoming signal and automatically selects the best picture mode so HDR content can be enjoyed without having to adjust individual settings.

Enjoy your home cinema for years to come with long-life laser light source

The light source used by the LX-NZ30B is the latest blue laser diode BLU-Escent. BLU-Escent technology has been adopted for home theatre projectors to achieve exceptional brightness and longevity of 20,000 hours (20 years watching a 2.5-hour movie daily) Laser diode allows dynamic control of brightness to reproduce images that are closer to human perception.

Normally, with projectors having a lamp as the light source, there is a limitation for lamp life and requires periodical replacement and maintenance. The LX-NZ30B features a laser diode light source called BLU-Escent, with a longevity of 20,000 hours, allowing you to enjoy cinema viewing and forget about operation life.

Bright, high-definition 4K UHD images

The LX-NZ30B adopts a 0.47-inch DMD device and bright DLP projection method to reproduce 4K UHD resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels), which is four times full HD resolution. Its bright and colourful impressive 4K UHD reproduction can let you feel the presence and depth in the scenes unfolding on the screen.

Transform any room into a theatre room regardless of the room size

In order to make full use of the 4K UHD resolution, the LX-NZ30B features a high-performance zoom lens with 1.6 times zoom ratio. For a typical 100-inch picture size, the projector should be installed between 3 and 4.8 metres from the screen. Refer to the user manual for a more in-depth distance chart to suit a range of different screens.

Thanks to the wide lens-shift, install the LX-NZ30B wherever suits you

Projectors without a lens-shift function typically use keystone adjustment to adjust the distorted screen images, however, this can drastically degrade picture quality even with high-resolution panels as adjustments are applied electronically with keystone. This is not a problem with the LX-NZ30B, since it features a wide lens shift: ±60 % vertically and ±23 % horizontally.

The warping function allows projection of natural-looking images that match the form of the screen by moving the cross points of vertical and horizontal lines to correct distortions of the image when projected onto an uneven screen surface, as well as cylindrical or spherical surfaces.

Compact and lightweight design for installation convenience

The LX-NZ30B proves that size doesn't matter. Just 40 cm wide, 34 cm deep, and weighing only 6 kilograms, this space-saving 4K DLP projector can be installed where it is most convenient, hanging from the ceiling or placed on a shelf.

Feel the immersion as if you are in the projected image

High Dynamic Range (HDR) is a technology designed to accurately reproduce realistic, dynamic images in which finer gradations and colours are clearly visible, even in the lightest and darkest areas of the picture. In addition to UHD BD and HDR10 content technology applied for streaming, the LX-NZ30B also supports Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG) for broadcast signals to deliver images full of reality.

Dynamic light source control achieves high image quality and infinity:1 contrast

With mechanical apertures, there is some delay when adjusting light output, but JVC’s laser light source can control light output instantaneously, so dynamic brightness adjustment is possible with little or no delay. By controlling the output of the laser according to the brightness of the scene, the LX-NZ30B can reproduce images closer to reality. Moreover, when a complete black signal is input, a contrast ratio of infinity:1 can be achieved by controlling the laser output.

Optimal images for various content without difficult adjustments.

The LX-NZ30B features an original Auto Tone Mapping function that adjusts HDR10 content to optimum images automatically. The function is designed to automatically adjust each content based on the values in the mastering data, such as Max CLL and Max FALL, which indicate the brightness of the HDR content. Image quality is automatically adjusted for optimum viewing of various HDR images with different brightness levels.

Optimum picture mode selected by automatically detecting the signal.

HDR content can be projected in brighter, higher resolution and more dynamically. In addition to HDR10, which is found on Ultra HD Blu-ray™ discs, the projector also supports HLG (hybrid log-gamma) signal, a technology used widely in broadcasting. Moreover, the projector switches to the optimum picture mode by detecting the input signal so there are no more tedious settings changes necessary to enjoy HDR content or broadcast signal.

Full-spec 4K video input for more vivid and high-definition 4K images

The LX-NZ30B is compatible with full-spec 4K input at 18Gbps bandwidth – supporting 4K/60p 4:4:4/36bit, 4K/60p 4:2:2/36bit, and 4K/24p 4:4:4/36bit signals – for more vivid colours and subtle gradations. What’s more, HDCP2.2 compatibility means that this projector supports the latest video-streaming services and copyright-protected content such as UHD Blu-ray discs

No dark room required. 4K high-quality images anywhere, all the time

Maybe you always thought you needed a theatre room to watch projected images? Not anymore. The LX-NZ30B, equipped with BLU-Escent laser light source, achieves a highly bright luminosity of 3,300 lumens to enable high-quality projection without fuss even in an ambient light environment where the lights can’t be turned off or blocked completely.

Connection Options

Both HDMI 2.0 inputs support HDCP 2.3, delivering UHD 4K@60Hz or 1080p@240Hz picture, the latter being perfect for responsive gaming and high-speed sports content.

Other connections available include USB-C, USB-A (service), Trigger (12 V), LAN, Display port 1.2 for gaming, and RS232. With this diversity of inputs, the LX-NZ30B is ideal for projecting video-streaming services, movies, games and more!
