Optoma UHD50 delivers accurate, razor sharp, high quality images by leveraging the DLP 4K UHD chip and XPR technology. Capitalising on the fast switching speed of the DLP chip and advanced image processing, over 8 million pixels are delivered to the screen.
This technology ensures all the information contained in an image is accurately reproduced on the screen to give a stunning crystal clear, pin-sharp picture. Complex algorithms detect each frame and improve image sharpness before the frame is projected.
Optoma projectors are capable of reproducing the Rec.709 colour gamut, the international HDTV standard to guarantee accurate reproduction of cinematic colour exactly as the director intended. Optoma projectors can also create saturated colours, great for gaming and animated movies.
Adopted Texas Instruments DLP 4K UHD chip and XPR technology to deliver full 8.3M pixel image on the screen, more than four times the resolution of 1080p.
DLP® (Digital Light Processing) is a proprietary technology from Texas Instruments that offers digital projection with higher contrast, faster response time, good pixel structure and virtually no colour degradation.
This feature gives more depth to your image by smoothly adjusting the lamp output to create a stunning high contrast ratio. Bright scenes appear crisp and clear, while dark scenes remain detailed with deep blacks and exceptional light and shade detail.
UHD50 is Rec.2020 compatible, and exceeds 100% Rec.709 colours, to let you watch movies, TV shows and play games with stunning colours in any environment. Optoma projectors provides you with reliable performance suitable for any content and environment. Our home projectors are capable of reproducing the Rec.709 colour gamut, the international HDTV standard to guarantee accurate reproduction of cinematic colour exactly as the director intended. Or more saturated colours for a punchy looking image, great for gaming and animated movies.
High Dynamic Range is one of the most important features that greatly improves the viewing experience for 4K UHD displays. The UHD50 manages HDR metadata incredibly well, retaining details in both extremes of light and dark on the same image, so as to bring you exactly what your eyes perceive in real life scenarios. A natural balance between the brightest and the darkest areas ensures no details are lost, making the projected HDR images second to none.
HDR stands for High Dynamic Range. In a nutshell, HDR is the ability to display a wider and richer range of colours, much brighter whites, and much deeper, darker blacks in the encoded contents. HDR removes the limitations of both contrast and dynamic range by providing additional information (metadata) about brightness and colour across a "wider range".
Experience Full HD 3D projection with the UHD51 straight from your Blu-ray source. Optoma UHD51 is fully compatible with the DLP-Link 3D solution allowing you to enjoy 3D cinematic projection from your existing Blu-ray disc collection. For the best Blu-ray 3D performance, 1920x1080 resolution is recommended. Please note that there is no 4K 3D standard available.

Simplify installation with vertical lens shift, which provides a wider range of projector placement possibilities. This makes it easier to position the projector in your room and enables a wider range of screen size options.
DLP 1-chip systems are inherently mechanically perfectly aligned. For 3 panel systems, any panel misalignment can cause colour or image artefacts and lost resolution. 4K pixels are typically smaller than 1080p pixels, making alignment in 3 panel systems even more challenging.
The UHD50 is designed exclusive with theatre rooms or living spaces in mind. With 1.3x zoom & a perfect throw ratio (1.2-1.56), you can install your projector for a 120”screen at only 3.21m distance, only repositioning your image using the Vertical Lens Shift if needed.
