Front or down?
It may be a bit easier to blend a front-firing subwoofer sonically with your main speakers, if it is placed close to them. A down-firing sub may be better in situations where the sub is to placed further from the mains, or more obviously, if potential damage to the drivers by pets and toddlers is an issue. Krix offers this sub in both forward-firing and downward firing configurations.
