Audio Pro Link 2 Wireless Multiroom Wi-Fi Streamer

The Link 2 is a clever little music streamer and multiroom player. A simple way to connect any audio gear - turntable (with a built-in phono preamp), CD player or any other powered speaker - to a multiroom system of your choice. You can choose between 3 different wireless systems; AirPlay 2, Google Cast or Audio Pro multiroom. Connect the Link 2 to any powered speakers, Hi-Fi systems or AV receivers. Control all sound with the multiroom system app of your chosen ecosystem.

The Link 2 is the improved version of the very popular Link 1. The Link 2 has more output options than the predecessor. The outputs will let you stream music directly from a large number of streaming services directly to your old Hi-Fi gear. The inputs will let you re-stream the music from your vinyl/CD-player or USB storage device to your new multiroom speakers! The line output can also be used to control the volume on connected powered speakers (or a power amplifier).

High sound quality circuit design based on the ToP-ART (Total Purity Audio Reproduction Technology) concept

ToP-ART design and ART base ensures optimum sound. When processing and transmission of the audio signal is simple and direct, there is less chance of it being affected by noise and distortion. Yamaha’s amplifier design technology called ToP-ART features an I/O (input to output) Direct Symmetrical Design, with left and right channels organised in a straight, symmetrical layout for highest signal purity. In addition, the ART (Anti-Resonance and Tough) Base bottom chassis and a solid centre bar provide high-rigidity support and vibration damping. These Yamaha design innovations contribute to this amplifier's rich audio reproduction with abundant musicality.

High-Quality Parts for Outstanding Audio Performance

Custom-made power transformer, custom-made block capacitors, two direct signal path speaker relays, one-point grounding system, aluminium-extruded heat sinks and other top-quality parts effortlessly handle demanding audio signal conditions. The quality of each individual part, as well as how they work together, basically determines the sound quality of any component. Yamaha uses only very high-quality parts, carefully selected and tested.

Rotary Encoder Input Selector with LEDs

The rotary encoder makes it quick and easy to select input sources. The luxury hairline finish material offers a nice tactile feeling. LEDs clearly show which source is selected, so you can easily switch sources even in a dark room.

Simple yet Sophisticated Design

With a beautifully simple and unique design inherited directly from Yamaha’s Hi Fi audio components, this amplifier also boast an easy-to-operate button layout. The aluminum front panel has a richly textured silver hairline finish. The control knobs are also of the same luxurious construction as used on our top-end models.

Digital Audio Input for TV and/or Blu-ray Player

The A-S701 is equipped for digital audio input with both optical and coaxial terminals. The optical is for receiving audio from a TV, and the coaxial for receiving audio from a Blu-ray player. The audio stays in the digital domain, giving you pure, pristine dynamic sound for all your entertainment sources, from sports and other programmes to movies and concerts.

Connection for Bluetooth Wireless Adaptors

Add the capability to stream music wirelessly from a Bluetooth capable mobile phone or a PC to the Network receiver. Thanks to the digital connections, you can enjoy wireless music streaming with optimum sound quality by connecting a Bluetooth receiver (not included). You can also conveniently power the connected adaptor via the DC-out connection on the rear panel of the amplifier.

Scansonic HD L9 Floorstanding Speakers

The L9 is a slim 3-way floorstanding speaker, featuring a 1" silk dome tweeter and three 4" mid/bass woofers. The slim size of the L9 gives them an elegant look and helps them fit into a modern home setting. The L9 speakers feature outrigger style feet which give the speakers a strong stance, both visually and practically, and aluminium spikes are provided for use on carpet surfaces.

Introducing the L Series

The L series was developed using Scansonic's experience from their popular M & MB-B series speakers, but specifically with budget in mind. The Scansonic L series, therefore, aims not only for great sound but also value for money. The enclosures of the L Series are rear ported and deliver rich sound with smooth authentic bass.

Construction

Like all L Series speakers, the L9 drivers are mounted to a 15mm front baffle helping to create a tighter soundstage. Magnetic fabric grilles are included to finish the look.

Finish

The Scansonic L Series speakers come in 3 finishes; a stealthy home theatre style Theatre Black, a light modern lifestyle look in textured White and a classic home hi-fi vibe in Walnut.

Quad Binding Posts for Bi-Wiring

The Scansonic L9 speakers feature 4 high-quality binding posts allowing for bi-wire capabilities. When bi-wiring, remove the connecting bracket. The binding posts accept bare speaker wire, banana plugs, and spades.

Aluminium Outrigger Style Feet

The L9 floorstanding speakers also feature sturdy aluminium outrigger style feet for enhanced stability for such a slim front profile. The feet come with aluminium stoppers, but the outrigger feet can also support speaker spikes (not included).

About Scansonic HD

It would be impossible to introduce Scansonic without first mentioning Raidho. Having worked with Raidho speakers for more than 12 years, this Danish group of engineers and designers found themselves facing a completely new challenge when they were tasked with creating a new range of high-performance speakers for the Scansonic brand.

From the start, Scansonic's team were dedicated to building on all the experiences and strengths obtained from designing the Raidho speakers. At the same time, they also had to be aware of the long heritage and the Nordic design tradition of the Scansonic brand. The ultimate goal was to create the very best possible speakers within reasonable financial limits.
