1 Single In-Ceiling Speaker Supplied:
Most commonly purchased to use as a centre speaker when doing a 5.1 or 7.1 home theatre system all in the ceiling. Can also be used as a rear centre in a 6.1 surround sound system. These are absolutely identical in every way to our pair of speakers of similar item number, so if you are starting from scratch you could also use 2, 5 or 7 of these to make up stereo pairs or 5.1 or 7.1 systems.
This range of in-wall and ceiling speakers look fantastic and sound exceptional. This model features angled cones/drivers, which really project the sound out towards where you want. Note that when installed, the angled speakers look the same as other ceiling speakers, it is only the inside parts that are angled. If you wish to use in-ceiling speakers for your surround sound home theatre system, this angled speaker is perfect for your front speakers (front left, front right, center). The angled cones project the sound to where you are sitting, while regular in-ceiling speakers (ones that point straight down) would be perfect for your rear speakers.
New High End Range - Quality and Style
We have recently sourced a new range of high quality in-wall and ceiling speakers which look fantastic, and sound exceptional. This speaker is much better quality than our budget range of in-wall and ceiling speakers. High grade materials and quality manufacturing processes ensure this range of speakers truly deliver. The range includes in-wall and ceiling speakers, and with a variety of models, you'll find a pair that's suitable for you.
In-Wall and Ceiling Speakers
Large speaker enclosures (floorstanders, bookshelf speakers) can take up a lot of space and sometimes look aesthetically untidy (not to mention the tangles of speaker wires running along your floor and walls). Sometimes known as architectural speakers, In-Wall and Ceiling Speakers are the perfect alternative that look fantastic and sound exceptional. And no more messy wires! These speakers utilise the ceiling or wall cavity to create a smooth base response with exceptional higher tones, all in a compact, discrete and stylish design.
The cones on this speaker is constructed from a polypropylene material, also referred to as PP, polyprop, or simply poly. This is the most common material from which speaker cones are made, and is suitable for most uses. If you are purchasing this speaker in addition to existing speakers, the polyprop cones are probably the way to go. We also stock these speakers with glass fibre cones, which produce a slightly different sound that some people prefer.
This 2-Way speaker, features a 6.5" injected-moulded polypropylene composite cone with a 1" (25.4 mm) aluminium pivoting dome tweeter.
The tweeter is isolated from the woofer, which provides more accurate sound reproduction.
Front Adjustment Switches
Two switches on the front of the speaker (hidden behind the grill) allow you to make adjustments to the bass and treble levels to achieve the sound you want.
Please note: Not suitable for environments where the air has a high salt content, such as coastal areas. For more info, please contact our helpful staff.
