The MODEL M1's powerful amplification is complemented by full high-resolution music support. The MODEL M1 supports the full high-resolution music experience over streamed services, your network or even USB, including 24-bit/192kHz PCM support as well as DSD. To ensure these high-resolution signals are delivered in the best possible quality, MODEL M1 operates in the digital domain from end to end. This simplifies the signal flow and eliminates errors caused by the inexpensive DACs typically found in traditional Hi-Fi. It also means all sources leverage the powerful DSP technologies built in, including Marantz Music Digital Filtering (MMDF), first developed for the brand’s reference-grade audiophile CD players and designed to ensure the characteristic warmth and musicality of any Marantz product.

HEOS Built-in

With HEOS® Built-in technology, use the HEOS app to access all the music services available on the HEOS platform. Also with other connected HEO enabled devices you can enjoy your favourite music in any room of your home for a wireless, whole-home audio experience. Play the same song in every room or select a different song for each connected room - the choice is yours.

In addition to HEOS, MODEL M1 supports Bluetooth, Spotify Connect and AirPlay2 (as well as soon-to-be-released updates for TIDAL and Roon Ready support!), ensuring wide- ranging wireless music streaming for almost any content you may wish to access, and from almost any device. Scansonic HD M15.2 Bookshelf Speakers Pair

The M15.2 bookshelf/stand-mount speakers feature a 2-way design with ribbon tweeter and 6.5" mid/bass driver. Additionally, rather than employing a bass reflex ported design, the new M-series is a sealed cabinet with additional passive bass drivers on the rear. The M15.2 features a 5x9" oval passive driver on each speaker adding to the rich, full bodied sound.

Like other speakers in the new M-series, the M15.2 features a bold design, with straight lines and angular features like the angled top plate and angled front corners. This gives this new range a truly unique look and cements that the Danish company is still bringing a sleek Scandinavian design aesthetic with modern sensibilities to this all new range.

Ribbon Tweeter

The M-series models feature ribbon tweeters. These high-performance tweeters promise an extremely fast, vivid and wide frequency response, allowing for an exceptionally open and detailed sound at the top end of the frequency spectrum.

Ribbon tweeters have a much lower moving mass compared with traditional dome tweeters, allowing them to respond more quickly and accurately to high-frequency transients.

It was clear to Scansonic from the very beginning, that some core techniques from the Raidho speakers would be of great importance: The speakers had to be designed around a ribbon tweeter that works with at super lightweight diaphragm that is sealed around the edges to allow for a seamless transition to the midrange region.

4-Material Honeycomb-Enforced Cones

The new M-series speakers' midrange/bass drivers use a specialised 4-material honeycomb-enforced cone to achieve a delicate balance of strength, rigidity, and elasticity and providing an open and three-dimensional midrange, along with a cleaner, faster bass with a more significant punch and attack.

The drivers also provide excellent internal damping, allowing them to better absorb distortion from split vibrations, leading to a smoother frequency response curve.

Through rigorous testing and refinement, these multi-material cones contribute significantly to the M series’ renowned speed, clarity, and overall musicality.

Passive Bass Drivers

Brand new to the M-series is a new sealed cabinet design, with passive bass drivers for a more powerful experience. These rear-mounted passive radiators extend and reinforce the bass output, enabling each speaker model to achieve remarkable depth and impact without overpowering the overall tonal balance.

The new passive design provides enhanced placement flexibility, allowing the speakers to perform more consistently in a variety of room sizes and layouts and reduces port noise, eliminating common chuffing and turbulence issues associated with bass reflex ports.

With their own black cloth grille, the rear drivers are concealed away, aiding in the sleek, modern look.

Premium Crossover Components

The quality of the crossover is absolutely key to the final quality of the sound produced by the speaker. Even so, many manufacturers opt for mediocre ones in this price class. Scansonic however, has gone above and beyond to achieve true high end sound by utilising high-grade capacitors, inductors, and resistors usually reserved for significantly more expensive loudspeakers.

Scansonic M series crossovers benefit from features like; minimal signal loss, preserving the purity of the audio signal for truer musicality. Improved phase alignment, ensuring drivers work
harmoniously, resulting in a cohesive, immersive soundstage, and exceptional durability and consistency, maintaining performance integrity over time, regardless of listening levels.

This meticulous attention to crossover design and component quality drives the M series' standout transparency, imaging, and tonal balance.

It would be impossible to introduce Scansonic without first mentioning Raidho. Having worked with Raidho speakers for more than 12 years, this Danish group of engineers and designers found themselves facing a completely new challenge when they were tasked with creating a new range of high-performance speakers for the Scansonic brand.

From the start, Scansonic's team were dedicated to building on all the experiences and strengths obtained from designing the Raidho speakers. At the same time, they also had to be aware of the long heritage and the Nordic design tradition of the Scansonic brand. The ultimate goal was to create the very best possible speakers within reasonable financial limits.
