Dear Valued Customers

In light of recent announcements from the Victorian Government, Selby is implementing necessary changes to ensure the safety of all staff and customers.=

Please be aware of the following changes effective 11:59pm Friday 12/02:

Retail Stores

  • Closed between Saturday 13/02 till Thursday 18/02 (5 Days)


  • Products will be available to order as usual. 
  • Staff will work to continue processing your orders, however there may be short delays in dispatching your items.

Phone Support: 

  • Staff will be working remotely to continue offering sales & service support

Dear Selby Customers,
In the lead up to the traditionally busy festive period, Australia Post have announced their cut off dates for making sure items are delivered to you by Christmas. Remember these are the dates that items need to be posted by, so please make sure you get your orders in before these dates!

Australia Post are recommending items be lodged by the following dates for delivery by Christmas:

  • Parcel Post - Saturday 12 December 2020
  • Express Post / StarTrack Premium - Saturday 19 December 2020

Dear Selby Customers,
Due to the increase in volume to Australia Post, we have received information that may impact your online deliveries.
Victoria Destined Parcels
Australia Post is advising of an additional 3-day delay for deliveries in Victoria. Both within and into Victoria.
Father's Day Purchases
We recommend putting in any orders you wish in regards to Father's Day. Australia Post recommends Friday the 28th August for regular & Monday 31st August for express deliveries to have the best chance for delivery before Father's Day.

We understand the inconvenience this may cause but please know we are committed to our Same Day Dispatch offering.

Dear Customers.

In light of recent announcements from the Victorian Government we've had to make adjustments to our operations to comply with the new laws.

- Our Hallam & Thornbury stores will be closed to walk-in traffic effective Thursday 6th August.
- Stores will be offering a 'click & collect' service (more info on that coming soon).

For our Online store it's Business As Usual!

- Delivery times may be impacted by Victorian restrictions.
- We are working on enhancing delivery options for within Melbourne.
- To keep up with demand we have more staff for our Online Customer Service - 7 Days A Week!

The Victorian Government has announced updated restrictions due to the recent outbreaks of Coronavirus.

Online Deliveries:
The NSW-VIC Border has been closed with the exemption of essential services.
Due to this, AusPost deliveries have been delayed with border control being enforced.
For our NSW Customers, we expect delays for your items reaching you. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Our stores are operating as usual and maintaining all COVID procedures as required.

Just a friendly notice to all our customers about the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 Situation.

Australia Post has confirmed delivery delays due to the increased volume of parcels going through their network. We're committed to our high levels of service standard so please rest assured your orders are being processed & dispatched from our warehouse in a timely manner but may take an extra while in reaching you.

As of today, the Australian Government has enforced Stage 2 of its lockdown to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. While we at Selby aren't immensely affected by the new changes we are taking extra precautions for the health and safety of our customers & staff

- Strictly enforcing social distancing in our stores with a limited number of people allowed at once
- A maximum allowance of people in our rooms, demo room and showrooms.

At Selby, it is with utmost importance we provide our valued customers and staff members a safe and healthy environment for shopping & working.

That’s why we’re taking precautions to minimise the risk within Selby stores.

Selby Acoustics are actively following and implementing the guidelines from both the World Health Organisation and the Australian Government Department of Health.
We have introduced precautionary measures to reduce the risks and ensure the highest level of hygiene standards are being met within our stores and all work sites.
The following approach is being adopted:

  • Modified work arrangements for staff including increased personal space and offsite work

  • Regularly reminding all staff to maintain best hygiene practices

Online Ordering & Delivery
Selby is still operating as normal for online orders. Deep Cleaning, & Social Distancing measures are in place within Selby. We anticipate all orders to be completely fulfilled with minimum delays.
There may be small delays in support & service enquiries – please bear that in mind when dealing with our staff. Selby is still committed to giving you the best service & advice and we are here to help you.

Deep Cleaning
Staff at Selby stores will be performing a Deep Clean of Selby stores before and after each day. This includes disinfecting all shared surfaces and wiping down all demo items and any products that could be potentially touched by anyone.
The cleaning will continue during the day as Staff see needed dependant on customer volume.
Rest assured, the health and safety of our customers and staff is our high priority.

Social Distancing
All our staff are instructed to implement social distancing with all interactions to minimise cross-contamination and if needed, will limit the number of customers within the store at any one time.
Where practical, our team members will maintain 1.5 metres distance between themselves, customers and other team members in our stores.

Legal Obligations
We are legally required to enforce these actions until it is deemed safe to revert to normal procedures. We hope you understand during these difficult times.

Customer Service
We will continue to greet all of our customers with a smile and great customer service but have implemented a ‘no shake hands’ policy.
We have decided to not accept Cash as a payment method. We will continue to use our EFTPOS facility to accept payments using Debit Cards, Visa, Mastercard and American Express all with NIL Surcharges
Housekeeping & Use of Equipment
 All of our team have been instructed to:

  • Make sure their workspace is kept clean

  • Clean hands frequently

  • Limit sharing of equipment with others where possible

  • Utilise Hand Sanitiser before and after transactions

Reporting Responsibilities
In order to assist with monitoring, tracking and responding to the impact of this evolving situation, we are ratifying mandatory reporting requirements.  If anyone has had a potential exposure at a work site or an actual case, they are required to immediately advise their Manager so that it can be recorded, and mitigation strategies are put in place.
