A CD Player for the Modern System

The CD has had its place in home hi-fi for some time now. It is a format that is well respected by hi-fi enthusiasts, and for good reason. 

As recording technology and reproduction techniques have advanced, this format has offered sonic consistency and collectability. Vincent has designed the CD-S5 with these listeners in mind. All of its technologies strive to fulfill one goal; to create a powerful and pure sonic reproduction of digital media.

Solid-State, Analogue-Feel

The CD-S5 is equipped with a solid-state drive and with a higher quality transducer than comparable players. This results in noticeably better dynamics and improved precision from the 24bit, 192kHz decoder.

Thanks to the units signal separation capability, the isolated channels each guide their signals consistently through the filters and amplifier of the player. This means there is practically no opportunity for the channels to affect each other and introduce crosstalk. Handling the signal with utmost care at every stage of the process results in an incredibly pure final sound.

The amplifier section of the output stage is equipped with J-FET transistors which operate in a Class-A mode. This system creates a more natural analogue feeling sound reproduction without blurring the playback.

Connections

The CD-S5 features two sets of analogue outputs. A balanced pair of XLR outputs and an unbalanced pair of RCA outputs. In addition to these, the CD Player also features coaxial and optical digital audio outputs, which enable the unit to connect to a diverse range of systems, including digital headphones.

A feature present across Vincent's range is the POWER CONTROL. These allow you to connect multiple Vincent units together to the central standby control, to operate them all from one remote. Vincent units are designed to work together, technically and visually.
