Access the latest digital channels

With Australia's Digital Switchover behind us, you may think that you need to upgrade your old TV to access digital free-to-air channels. With this STRONG set-top box, there is no need to discard your analogue TV Set, simply connect the SRT 6500 to your existing TV to receive crystal clear digital broadcasts.

As well as the normal channels you usually receive you can now watch all of the extra digital TV channels, including the very latest Freeview channels.

Even if you own a new TV with a digital tuner onboard, you can use this DVR as a 2nd & 3rd tuner in addition to the built in Digital Tuner in your TV.

Even if your new TV has USB Recording, in most cases you can only record what you are watching. The STRONG SRT 6500 allows you to record several programs while watching another channel or a Blu-Ray!

Built-in multi-region DVD/Blu-Ray player

The STRONG SRT 6500 features a built-in multi-region DVD/Blu-Ray player for viewing BluRay discs, DVDs & CDs. You can even watch a Disc while you are recording live TV. This two-in-one function device means that you only need a single remote for the functions of two devices!

Please note that the SRT 6500 does not play 3D BluRay Discs.

Multimedia playback

Movies, shows, photos, music, and more are all available to watch on your TV from your external storage. Simply connect your USB Flash Drive or external USB Hard Disk Drive to the STRONG SRT 6500 and you can watch your digital collection in the comfort of your lounge room or bedroom.

Record up to 250 hours of content

With the built-in 500GB Hard Drive, you can schedule and record live TV. The built-in HDD can store up to 250 hours of Standard Definition (SD) content or 60 Hours of High Definition (HD) content.

Record two channels while watching another (Twin Tuner - from two networks) or while watching a Blu-Ray/DVD. BYO USB or Hard Drive and you have access to even more storage.

Electronic Program Guide with Smart Series Record

Access the up-to-date electronic TV Guide with 7-day schedule directly on your TV through the set-top box menu. Browsing the guide is easy with keyword search and one-touch record.

With the SRT 6500's Smart Series Record feature, you can automatically record every episode of your favourite program. This function includes auto padding, which starts recording a little early, and finishes slightly after your content's scheduled end time, so you never miss the start or end of your program again.

Chase Play, Editing, Bookmarks, and Ad-Skipping Options

You can access and start watching a program while you are still recording it with the Chase Play function. Mark your favourite spots by adding bookmarks on a recorded program.

You can skip adverts in a pre-recorded program, or jump ahead in 30-second or 1-minute intervals. If you want a more permanent solution for pesky ads in your recorded programs, you can mark & edit them out while you a watching, meaning the next time you watch your saved content, it will be ad-free.

Pause & Rewind Live TV

Never again will you miss an important moment in your favourite programs or sports highlight. Pause and rewind live TV on the STRONG SRT 6500, and live without fear of interruptions by the phone, doorbell, or everyday life.

Clever Home Network Sharing

The SRT 6500 gives you access to network file sharing, as well as access to internet radio & internet weather. Access these services via the built-in WiFi, or you can connect via the LAN connection on the rear of the unit. 

Access live TV and pre-recorded programs on your smartphone, tablet, laptop and PC while connected to the same network as your STRONG SRT 6500.
