The MB10 Subwoofer is not only great in a home cinema setup, it also blends seamlessly into a good stereo system.
Using their knowledge and expertise in designing high-end loudspeakers, Scansonic focused on making the MB10 reproduce bass in a more natural and “honest” way than normally seen in subwoofers.
A class A/B amplifier, in place of the commonly used Class D, plays a key role in the MB10’s natural and dynamic performance. This, combined with a low mass 10” woofer, and an enclosure tuned to match the woofer, means the sub doesn’t use any frequency equalization circuits. The result is a subwoofer which sounds articulate and refined without any booming - blending effortlessly in to any high-quality speaker system while at the same time having the ability to rattle the room when playing a movie or your favourite piece of music.
The MB10 can be connected with the LFE-input, or with speaker-inputs for the receivers/amplifiers where there is no active subwoofer-output available.

The MB10, like the rest of the MB-B range, has a solid foundation in the Nordic design tradition. It is simple, sleek, and elegant unit with a solid carbon inlay in the top. Beautiful design with soft lines and edges, and with a port in the rear, the MB10 will perform as an integral part of the home cinema as well as looking good in the home.
Featuring a 10” driver and a 100-watt class A/B amplifier, this subwoofer will tonally match the rest of the MB-B speaker range, providing an authentic and explosive experience when watching a good movie or concert.
Class A/B was chosen over Class D for the built-in amplifier for it's better sound. Also, this choice was made by the Scansonic team due to the efficiency of the driver, 100 watts in 8 ohms is more than plenty to deliver the slam to match the rest.
If your receiver does not have a dedicated subwoofer output, then you can connect to the MB10 via the speaker inputs, bypassing the built-in amplifier and instead, using the channels on your hi-fi amp.
The MB Series, now in its second generation, is based on technologies that originated in the world-renowned Raidho Acoustics speakers, most notably, the signature ribbon tweeter. The MB-B Series presents a wide range of affordable speakers where the goal is to offer a very high-quality level, all wrapped in classical and authentic Scandinavian design.
The MB-B series was designed to see how far it is possible to go on a budget, designing a series of products that is accessible for most people but also with no compromise in sound quality.
The design was essential, and the visual appearance of an MB-B speaker will fit any room with the clean lines and a simple choice of modern colours: satin white or black.
It would be impossible to introduce Scansonic without first mentioning Raidho. Having worked with Raidho speakers for more than 12 years, this Danish group of engineers and designers found themselves facing a completely new challenge when they were tasked with creating a new range of high-performance speakers for the Scansonic brand.
From the start, Scansonic's team were dedicated to building on all the experiences and strengths obtained from designing the Raidho speakers. At the same time, they also had to be aware of the long heritage and the Nordic design tradition of the Scansonic brand. The ultimate goal was to create the very best possible speakers within reasonable financial limits.
