ATALANTE 5 is a 3-way loudspeaker equipped with the 28mm soft-dome tweeter, 75mm mid-range driver with built-in Revival Audio ARID+ (Anti Reflection Inner Dome) patented technology, that can absorb 95+% of resonance in the chamber.
Moreover, the first-ever in High-End audio, BSC (Basalt Sandwich Construction) 12" woofer is the best balance found between rigidity and light-weight, with its great damping construction, provides fast and smooth responses with tight bass dynamics.

After hundreds of hours of experiment, Revival Audio's very own coating recipe brings perfect break-up control and the most accurate, smooth sound reproduction.
Asymmetric Dome Suspension
The asymmetrical suspension provides a more linear resonance-free guiding of the dome.
A soft dome works as a piston in low frequencies (1 – 8kHz), above that, the centre of the dome stands still (at last should be, depends on the quality of the coating, both how it’s applied and the recipe)
The more higher frequencies are reproduced the less the dome itself emits sound. At very high frequencies, only the area around the voice coil (on both the dome and suspension) emits sound.
The custom shape of the suspension helps to have a better dispersion, as waves travel freely to the side.
Patented ARID Technology
The patented ARID (Anti Resonance Inner Dome) technology is the critical component elevating the performance of Revival Audio tweeters and midrange drivers from outstanding to extraordinary.
ARID technology provides extended frequency response due to not requiring extra absorbing material in the space behind the dome.
The space behind the domes is large and causes standing waves which can alter the dome’s behaviour. The ARID is mounted in that space close to the acoustic dome so no standing wave can occur. The design of ARID makes the waves guided into the yoke to the back chamber, where it is properly absorbed.
Outperforming Large Ferrite Magnet System
The extra large 100mm ferrite magnet offers a high magnet force, similar to smaller neodymium magnets, but for a significantly lower cost. It is as well more eco-friendly using ferrite magnets.
A comfortable efficiency of 91dB is reached with this system. Also, the large mass of ferrite and the metal part absorbs more heat from the voice coil and helps for better cooling.
BCD (Back Chamber Damping) Resonance-free Design
Made from structured rigid plastic, the design of the asymmetric rims is precisely simulated for the purpose of resonance absorption which helps to get a low resonance frequency of 560Hz.

Revival Audio's 75mm (3-inch) midrange works like a piston between 400Hz and 5kHz, so they are no breakup modes.
ARID+ is a special-shaped dome, where the surface has been designed with the simulation software Comsol, to avoid any resonances and to guide the waves behind the ARID to be then absorbed in the large back cavity.
Due to the lack of damping material behind the dome, high frequencies are extended and resulting in what Revival Audio aims for “tonal balance”.

Basalt Sandwich Construction (BSC) Technology
Basalt is extracted from lava stone which has never been used in Hi-End audio, with similar characteristics as glass fibre but better Young modulus. It is also an eco-sustainable material.
The Sandwich construction consists of a specific felt applied the back of the membrane and a specialised damping glue which results in the best-possible damping.
With BSC drivers, the lightweight and rigidity with great damping provide a fast and smooth response with tight and clear dynamics.

Crossover Design - Built to Last
"At Revival Audio we tune the crossover by hand, by placing real components on one tuning board, and measuring the results. When done, we listen (a lot) and fine-tune, after that we check again with measurements that we went into the right direction.
Sometimes, a change of value is very little visible on the measured curve, but can make all the difference in sound."
