The element X2 Pure is a high-res music streamer with a compact design, colour touch screen display, and a premium DAC based around two ESS ES9039PRO chips running in dual-mono mode and a completely separated left / right channel circuit design.

The Versatile Master
The element X2 Pure integrates various streaming services and local file playback functions, which can be used as an excellent audio source. Through coaxial, optical and USB connection, it can be an external DAC of CD players, digital audio players or computers, which improves the sound performance of your existing audio system.
Besides its rich selection of digital inputs, the element X2 also features a stereo analogue input which allows you to connect turntables (with line output), CD players or other audio devices. Additionally, an HDMI ARC input helps you get better quality sound when watching TV.
Roon Ready, UPnP and AirPlay are not absent as well. Excellent human-computer interaction, with the MA Remote App, you can easily configure your devices, browse and playback music files.
New UI, New Impression
The element X2 Pure music streamer is equipped with a 3.46" colour LCD touch screen. When playing over the network, or playing local music via MA Player, rich information of the track is displayed on the screen.
The touch screen also allows you to perform various operations more conveniently. The newly added playback touch keys make the new generation of element music streamers easier to use.
Dual DAC Synergy
The element X2 Pure is equipped with 2 ESS ES9039PRO chips. Each chip works in mono mode, every 8 D/A conversion units from 1 chip work in parallel, which effectively improves the dynamic range and reduces audio distortion, while separation of the left and right channel circuits improves stereo performance and audio separation and ensures an accurate reproduction of the sound, bringing a more powerful audio performance and listening experience.
The Beauty of Symmetry, The Art of Balance
The golden rule of industrial aesthetics can be found all over the product. The analogue circuits for the left and right channels have the same layout and components. They are designed exactly symmetrical. The analogue circuit is completely covered by the CNC aluminium shield, which effectively ensures the heat dissipation of the op-amps and isolates the interferences. No matter inside or outside, the element X2 Pure exudes a pleasing and meticulous design.
Electrical Isolation, No fear of Interference
The digital processing and D/A conversion circuit of element X2 Pure is electrically isolated, the ground wire of digital and analogue parts are completely separated. The D/A and analogue circuits are powered by ultra-low noise LDOs to obtain an extremely high SNR and dynamic range, leaving the background of music as silent as deep space.
MA Remote App
The MA Remote App serves as the core tool for controlling Matrix Audio music streamers. By installing the MA Remote App on your iPhone, iPad or Android phone, they become the most convenient control centres, allowing you to browse and play your local music, enjoy high-resolution music from streaming platforms like SONY Select, TIDAL, Qobuz and HIGHRESAUDIO, Baidu Netdisk, QQMusic, listen to exciting online radio stations.
Even when music is streaming from Roon or other apps, you also can view the track information through the MA Remote App. Furthermore, the MA Remote App allows you to set every hardware configuration, completely changing the operation of an audio device.

element X2 Pure has built-in superb a pre-amplifier with +10dB of analogue gain. When the pre-amp is enabled, it can output high-quality audio signals up to 15.8VRMS, combined with Hyper-Control technology, it lets the entire output range maintain an ultra-low noise and distortion level.
Digital and Analogue Sources All-in-One
The element X2 not only has multiple digital input ports, it also has a stereo analogue input. Vinyl turntables with line outputs, CD players or other devices with analogue outputs can be connected to your modern digital audio system by element X2. There are even high, medium and low input gain options available to adapt to the different output levels of the front-end device.
TV Hi-Fi
The element X2 Pure includes HDMI ARC allowing your TV to be connected to the device for higher quality stereo audio for you TV shows and movies.
When connected to display devices such as TVs and projectors with HDMI ARC functionality, the digital audio from the HDMI signal can be transferred to element M2 for higher quality playback. Additionally, if the display device supports HDMI CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) protocol, the playback on element X2 Pure can be controlled by this display device.
Everything In Your Hand
Matrix Audio take every detail of the product seriously - even the remote control is no exception. The RM4 remote control includes playback control functions, making it more convenient to switch tracks, play, pause and other operations. With the 2 programmable buttons which can be set to your frequently used functions through the MA Remote App. The material of aluminium and plastic makes the remote control comfortable to the touch.
Asynchronous or Synchronous, It's Up To You
The element X2 includes both an asynchronous mode and a synchronous mode. In the asynchronous mode, the master clock of the DAC circuit comes from the built-in Crystek CCHD-950 femtosecond clock. In the synchronous mode, the built-in femtosecond clock will be turned off, and the DAC chips depend on the clock of an external front-end device instead.

Digital audio is the art of time, a high-precision clock is the basis for accurate playback of digital audio. The element X2 has built-in a Crystek CCHD-950 ultra-low phase noise femtosecond clock, which can effectively reduce the jitter generated in the transmission and processing of digital audio signals, making the sound more realistic and the details more accurate. Laying a solid foundation for the good sound of element X2.
Ceramic Ball Vibration Buffer
The element X2 Pure is equipped with CBVB (Ceramic Ball Vibration Buffer) pads. The core of CBVB is made of ceramic balls and silicone rubber. There are 6 ceramic balls in each pad to minimise the noises caused by mechanical vibration. The transparency of the sound is further improved, creating a wide and clear sound stage for you.
Upgraded Components
The element X2 Pure has been upgraded further with KG series audio capacitors from Nichicon as the main filter capacitors. Its extremely low internal resistance and inductance can effectively match the energy requirements of large dynamics and continuous rich low frequencies playback.
O-core Toroidal Transformer
A new O-core toroidal transformer which has silver-plated output wires with Teflon insolation has been included. Compared with regular toroidal transformers, the circular cross-section magnetic core reduces the resistance of the transformer, which increases efficiency and response speed of the transformer.
Connect Your Way
Under good wireless network signal coverage, you can choose Wi-Fi connection. The integrated 2.4GHz and 5GHz dual-band Wi-Fi antenna, gives element X2 a tidy and clean appearance and a flexible connection option.
Highway Of Audio Data
The element X2 is equipped with a Gigabit Ethernet port to ensure more stable connection when streaming high sampling rate audio files. Make the music data stream in your audio system smoothly.
