WORKS WITH FOXTEL!
USB-Powered IR Remote Control Extender Kit
This is an all-in-one USB-powered IR extender kit from Infrared Resources. It allows you to remotely control 2 infrared devices without direct line-of-sight. For example, if your Foxtel box and Blu-ray player are hidden away in a cabinet, you can use this system to control them. Many infrared extenders don't work with Foxtel, but the Infrared Resources systems work great!
- IR receiver
- Dual IR emitters
- USB power adaptor
The System Explained
The IR emitters send out the infrared signals to the devices which you want to control (eg: Foxtel box, Blu-ray player, etc), so the emitters should to be positioned on or near those devices. Each emitter has a self-adhesive pad which allows you to stick the emitter directly onto the IR sensor window of the device you wish to control. The USB power adaptor should be connected to any USB outlet, such as on your TV (we also stock a 240V version of this kit which connects to standard Australian wall outlets). The emitters and the USB power adaptor should both be connected to the IR receiver. The IR receiver is the part which you point your remote control towards, so most people position it near their TV. Once it's all connected together, it's ready to go!
TV Must Be Turned On!
Please note that the device which the USB power adaptor is plugged into (eg: the TV) MUST be turned on for the extender system to work. If this isn't suitable for your situation, the 240V version of this kit doesn't have the same limitation (ie: it will work even when the TV is off).
- IR emitters: 3 metres (8 metre extension available separately)
- IR receiver: 3 metres

- IR filtering technology to block interference
- Compatible with 38kHz-56kHz devices
IR Filtering Technology
Infrared systems are susceptible to interference caused by everything from fluorescent lighting to plasma TVs and even sunlight. This system is designed to block out infrared interference (IRI), compact fluorescent lamp interference (CFL), electro-magnetic interference (EMI), electro-static interference (ESI) and interference from plasma TVs and sunlight. This means problem-free usage for you!
We also stock a 240V version of this kit which connects to standard Australian wall outlets.
Some remote controls now use Bluetooth instead of infrared. Please note that Bluetooth remotes are not compatible with this infrared extender system. This system only works with infrared remote controls. If you're unsure, please feel free to email or call our friendly experts.
