In the past if you were looking for an infra-red (IR) extender system that would work with your Foxtel unit too, you either played around with some of the cheaper options on the market with mixed results, or invested more into the approved Resi-Linx system. Because Foxtel runs on different frequencies to other devices, finding a reliable and affordable IR system has been difficult - until now.

Selby are proud to announce the Australian exclusive introduction of “Infrared Resources” into our product range. We have been testing (when I say we, I mean Shaun has been testing it out at his place) these for the last 6 months. Reports back from Shaun are that he has found them the most reliable of all the other options he has tried.

Infrared Resources boasts a USB or 240v powered unit with starter kits beginning from only $44.95, and additional components starting at just $9.95. This ensures a really cost effective IR solution for all your basic IR applications.

Included in the starter kit at $44.95 is:

- 1x IR Repeater kit receiver
- 1x Dual Infrared IR Emitters
- 1x USB 2.0 Power Supply

IR Repeater kit receiver
The IR Repeater kit receiver is permanently attached to the hub. If you need to extend the length of the kit you may use mono extension cable to extend the emitter length. Boasting excellent IR receiving range, IR Filtering Technology effectively blocks out external noise (Infrared Interference (IRI) Compact Fluorescent Lamp (CFL) Electro-Static Interference (ESI) and Plasma TV and eliminate Sunlight etc). Electro-Magnetic Interference (EMI) Plasma TV and sunlight. Compatible with up-to-date Set Top Boxes without any problem and has a Self Auto Test function for the IR sensor. The red LED will blink two times when the power is plugged in if everything is OK.

Dual Infrared IR Emitters
This dual IR emitter expands the Remote Kit to control up to 2 devices. Simply replace the single emitter with this dual emitter, and use the self-adhesive pads on each emitter to stick the emitters directly to the IR sensor window of your audio/video equipment. This setup gives you the highest level of signal transmission accuracy.

USB 2.0 Power Supply
Turn a USB into a power port to power your IR repeater by plugging the USB plug into any USB port on the TV, Cable box or other device. This cable is specifically designed to power your Infrared Resources IR Kit from your Smart Tv so you don't have to worry about finding space for a bulky 240v power supply behind the TV.
