How to extend Foxtel into a 2nd Room.

"Great. My daughter has her friends over and are watching a Twilight DVD in the lounge room…again. If only I could slip away and watch that doco on Foxtel in our rumpus without having to get a second Foxtel box." Ever had this problem? We can fix this and it’s actually really easy!

You just need an AV and IR distribution system. It sounds complicated but it’s actually really simple to set-up. Even my brother-in-law managed it without my help. To explain it simply, you just need to send the AV signal out to the rumpus room and send the remote control signal back to the lounge. Easy.

Resi-Linx is one of the only brands that is made to work with Foxtel and after years of helping people install these systems, it is the brand that we highly recommend. You will need to run Cat5e/Cat 6 leads between the two rooms, for a neat finish we suggest using wallplates. Then it’s a simple job of connecting a transmitter RLBV140A(for the picture and audio) and IR emitter A1141SA at the Foxtel end and a receiver RLBV150B and IR target RLBV500 at the TV end.

The job should take only a few hours but will set you up for years of enjoyment. The beauty of this system is that it is really easy to add more rooms into the system.
