This AV adapter cable is designed for easy connection of an AV source which has RCA outputs (yellow for composite video and red & white for stereo audio) to a display device which has a SCART input. Note that this is a very uncommon scenario in Australia. SCART inputs are primarily found on European TVs.
Not For Foxtel
The most common use for SCART cables in Australia is for connecting a Foxtel box to a TV, which requires the opposite cable (ie: SCART to AV, not AV to SCART). This cable will not work in that situation. This is an AV to SCART cable. If you wish to connect your Foxtel box's SCART output to the RCA inputs on your TV, try a SCART to AV cable.
